HSI provides a consultation service for anyone wanting to start work on their own songs. In many cases this service can be provided remotely either via email, video conferencing or via skype or MSN. Other situations may require more intensive help and this is where we can discuss coming to you. Either way we can guide you step by step and will help set achievable goals to so you manage each stage of the production of your own songs. These steps include:

• Compiling your song list
• Gathering accurate information for your songs
• Cross checking your information
• Working with local song writers
• Translating your information into song lyrics
• Cross checking lyrics (Especially important if the local language isn’t your mother tongue)
• Choosing an appropriate musical style
• Trialing your songs
• Community involvement
• Working with other groups
• How to handle delicate subjects
• The best means of delivery (Hitech or lowtech)
• Recording on a low budget
• Choosing a recording facility
• Distribution and guarding your intellectual property
• Measuring the effect of your songs
• Starting a HSI branch in your region

If you want to create songs in a language that is not your own language then there are a few pitfalls we might be able to help you avoid. If you’re in this position then you may need some additional coaching and we’re very happy to take a little extra time with you in order to produce the best results.
